All this recipe requires is cooking your bacon and your mac n cheese separately, then crumble the bacon on top of the mac n cheese before mixing it together. It should be creamy and crunchy, and the bacon adds an irresistible flavor to the dish.

This is a simple but delicious recipe to add a little extra comfort to your mac n cheese. Add marinara sauce and tomato paste to the mixture for an especially unique taste.

Sauté shallots and garlic and cook until golden. Whisk in flour and cayenne pepper. Gradually whisk in ½ cup of beer and cook for 1 minute. Whisk in 1/4 cup half and half cream and 1 tbsp. of mustard. Bring the pasta to a boil and cook until thickened.

Transfer to a baking dish and bake until golden brown, for about 15 minutes.
